Eliseu Visconti (1866-1944) was a Brazilian painter known for his contributions to the Brazilian modernist movement. Born in Italy, he moved to Brazil with his family as a child and later studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro. He also studied in Paris, where he was influenced by the Impressionist movement.Visconti's work often depicted Brazilian landscapes and daily life, using a vibrant color palette and impressionistic brushstrokes. He also worked as a designer, creating decorative panels and stained glass windows for buildings in Rio de Janeiro.His works were exhibited both in Brazil and internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and the International Exposition in Paris. Visconti is considered one of the pioneers of Brazilian modernism and his work remains highly regarded in Brazil today.
