Collection: Frederic Remington

Frederic Remington was an American painter, illustrator, and sculptor known for his depictions of the American West. He was born in Canton, New York, in 1861, and studied at the Yale School of Art. Remington's artistic career began as an illustrator, contributing to publications such as Harper's Weekly and Collier's. However, his true passion was for the American West, and he frequently traveled to the region to gather material for his artwork. He specialized in creating action-packed scenes of cowboys, Native Americans, and the U.S. Cavalry, and his works became some of the most iconic images of the Wild West. In addition to his paintings, Remington also created numerous bronze sculptures, including his famous "Bronco Buster". He passed away in 1909 at the age of 48, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most celebrated American artists of his time.
