Koloman Moser

Koloman Moser (1868-1918) was an Austrian artist and designer who was a key figure in the Vienna Secession movement. Born in Vienna, Moser studied at the city's School of Applied Arts, where he became interested in design and crafts. He later co-founded the Vienna Secession in 1897, a group of artists and designers who sought to break away from traditional academic styles and promote modern art and design.

Moser worked in a variety of mediums, including painting, graphic design, furniture, and interior design. He was particularly known for his intricate and decorative designs, which often featured organic motifs and bold colors. Moser also played a significant role in the Wiener Werkstätte, a design collective that aimed to combine art and industry.

Despite his success, Moser suffered from health issues throughout his life and died relatively young at the age of 49. Nevertheless, his innovative designs and contributions to the Vienna Secession and Wiener Werkstätte have had a lasting impact on modern design.
