Collection: Paul Klee

Paul Klee (1879-1940) was a Swiss-German painter who created highly imaginative and original works of art. He was known for his use of bright colors, geometric shapes, and childlike forms in his paintings, which often bordered on abstraction. Klee was deeply influenced by the art movements of his time, including cubism, expressionism, and surrealism, and was associated with the Bauhaus school of design. He was also a prolific writer and teacher, and his lectures and essays on art theory and creative expression continue to inspire artists and thinkers today. Despite struggling with health issues throughout his life, Klee produced an enormous body of work, including over 9,000 paintings and drawings, and is regarded as one of the most important artists of the 20th century.
