William Blake

William Blake (1757-1827) was an English artist, poet, and printmaker who is now considered one of the greatest figures of the Romantic era. Blake's unique style combined elements of classical art with Gothic and mystical themes, creating a visual language that was both imaginative and visionary. He is best known for his illustrated poems, such as "Songs of Innocence and Experience" and "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell," which explored themes of innocence, spirituality, and the human condition.
